Just Recently

Is it just me or is everyone pregnant? Almost all of my friends, that are female, are all pregnant! I’m not saying that its bad, it is their lives and all… but I mean if you are 14, 15, 16 years of age, you shouldn’t get pregnant!! That is just my opinion!! Stop being irresponsible and keep a dime between your legs!

38 Traveling Belgium Guys

I met 38 Belgium guys yesterday. They were staying at the hotel I was at. They spoke Dutch and English. I was talking to one of them, as everyone else was swimming. He told me they had come to lean about the agriculture. It is very different here then in Belgium. He told me about what they had learned, and how he planned to apply his knowledge when he got back. It is alway nice to meet new people when traveling(:

The Bordering Worlds

Sitting at the border for HOURS. Every vender in Mexico is awaiting you to show up just say they can bombard you. Yes, I understand it’s a way to make a living. Yes, I understand the border lines are the best place to catch people. What I’m getting at is that if everyone is selling the same thing, do you think they will buy yours?? I don’t know if it’s just me thinking this, but come in people!! And then what really attacks my heart is when the people asking for money are missing limbs. A foot here, a leg there, and some times a hand or an arm… It really gets to me. No matter how much I wish, I can help every person in the world. I would die trying. At least it would be a good cause… I hope.

Chinese Everywhere

There are more Chinese food places in Mexico than I think anywhere in the united states! It is insane! Just in the mall in Mexicali there are 9chinese food places!! Holy guacamole!!! Do they like their Chinese food or what?! (:

Taxi Anyone?

Well, I’ve done it. My first taxi ride ever. Mexicali has the craziest taxi drivers I’ve ever seen! Yet I decided, I’m going to ride in one today. Haha, wow. Riding through the streets and back roads of Mexicali was amazing. I saw an old cathedral and many material stores. The taxi driver then proceeded to tell me about the cathedral. It was interesting. They used it for weddings and such. He said “they get married for love, but divorced because of partying and drinking.” that is for Mexico and I think it applies in the united states as well. My first taxi ride wasn’t just a taxi ride, it ended up being a history class as well. 20120330-081429.jpg

Bigger Is Not Always Better

So, ever since I was littler, I have heard people says that “bigger is better”. I haven recently found out, that is not the case. When you are shopping for asparagus, smaller stocks are better. That taste better and are not tough. Speaking of which, the easiest, and fastest way to cook asparagus is:
3minutes in the microwave in with a little bite of water an salt. Makes them soft, tender, and yummy!

Palm Trees

Palm trees are, in my opinion, not trees. Yes, they have “trees” in the name, but I really don’t think they are. They don’t look the part. They are beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but they just don’t look like trees. Pine trees, evergreens, redwood, those are trees. True trees!

Peanut Butter Banana Milkshake

Do you want to shake up your Spring/Summer?

Here is a fantastic milkshake, perfect for those gatherings and for hot weather! It also have a lot of protein in it!

It is called a “Banana Nutty”. I came across this recipe when I was little. My fathers co-workers wife was a very sweet woman, and we made these together when I visited.

Ingredients:

-1 small banana

-1/4th cup creamy peanutbutter

-1/2 pint vanilla ice cream

-1 cup milk

Instructions:

In a blender blend banana until smooth. Blend in peanut butter, then ice cream. Add milk and blend until smooth. Makes two 1 cup servings.

From One to Two

I went from having one chihuahua to having two of them. My grandparents have the one named Baja, and their friends from yuma have come down for a few day with theirs named Chicka. Everyone has left the house, except me and the two dogs. I’ve never baby sat dogs before, only children. Is it the same thing? Food, water, exercise, play time, etc.? Or is there more to it with dogs? I hope this goes well!!

Roosters of Mexico

You know how roosters crow at dawn? Well at least in the united states they do at dawn. In Mexico, yeah, they don’t just crow at dawn. They crow when ever their hearts desire it. If its 2 in the morning, they will crow. If its 5 at night, they will crow. And there is no stopping them. They are are loud, very loud. I wonder why our roosters in the states are different than then the roosters in Mexico? They crow at different times, and I don’t think either care who they wake up, if they are even waking people up. Anyways, that’s my thoughts for now. At least they have spirit enough to crow their hearts out(: it’s like singing, but way too raspy.
